Last Saturday, the International College showcased the creative collaboration of its students at its fifth annual Open House held in Oberlin Hall. The Open House began with inspiring speeches from Dean Wang and former University President, Dr Hayden Chen. The Event’s purpose was to challenge students from both the college’s International Business Administration (IBA) and Sustainability Science and Engineering (SSE) programs to develop a sustainable product for a Circular Economy. After a full semester of meetings, experiments, and research, students presented their projects to a full audience comprised of parents, faculty, staff, and even prospective high school students.
Following the ceremony, the celebration of student achievement and IC camaraderie continued with a performance by the environmentalist band, Sonus de Gaia. Not only was this event a time to share the creativity of the students, but also a time to celebrate our students and professors. Open House also provided the opportunity for the IC faculty and staff to get to know the parents. In the end, Open House was a resounding success that truly enshrines the potential, creativity, and motivation of all our students. The IC would like to thank all those who made the event possible.
