Dear Professors and Students of Tunghai University:
On January 23rd, THU established an Epidemic Prevention and Response Team (EPART). The team is working hard on cooperating with government decrees and campus epidemic prevention planning in order to create flexible and safe back-to-school measures. We take this matter seriously and thus make the following decisions and announcements:
- To lower the possibility of group infection, after considering multiple options, it has been decided that the semester will start on March 2nd of 2020.
- The EPART, with President Wang as Chief Executive Officer, has ordered a thorough review on all measures, including academic courses, traveling history investigation, safety and health care maintenance, and Chinese degree students returning to school procedures, in light of epidemic prevention for every professor, staff, worker, and student.
- Office of International Relations and Office of Student Affairs are working together to track Chinese degree students returning to Taiwan as well as providing related counseling needs in order to help all students to attend school successfully and safely.
- Office of Academic Affair will provide many different flexible measures including course selection, online teaching, course enrollment payment options, etc. These will be announced shortly.
- THU established a website exclusively for related information on Coronavirus epidemic prevention. The latest and related campus information and government notices will be announced on this website.
